What versions of VMware do you support?

Can you restore a single file from a VM without restoring the entire VM?
Yes, NovaStor  VM backup solutions support granular recovery (single file restore) from within VMware and Hyper-V snapshot backups without the need to mount or restore the entire VM.
Can you back up the free version of ESXi?
No, the paid version of VMware ESXi is needed to enable access to the storage API.
Can I do incremental and differential backups of a VM?
Yes, our VMware backup solutions support Change Block Tracking enabled in VMware, NovaStor products can perform incremental/differential backups for that machine.
Can you exclude disks in a VM to backup to?

NovaStor DataCenter does have the option to exclude disks in your VMware VM backup.

How do I select target data storage?
With transparent support for VMware data storage, selecting a target data storage is child's play. Do you need more hard disk space on your data storage? No problem. You can quickly make adjustments to reconfigure a VMware virtual disk to make more efficient use of the disk space in the datastore. 

You can also restore a single file with a split screen to display the image and target simultaneously.
